Those eyes, that hair, what a beautiful baby girl! Usually I’m a sucker for a sleeping newborn in photos, but this little one had this “old soul” stare that was just mesmerizing!

About Kristin Ingalls Photography
Kristin Ingalls is a natural light photographer adept at finding interesting locations to capture the little details of your family. A mother of three girls, she realizes the importance of documenting the little things -- the way a newborn curled her fists, the gap-toothed smile of a seven year old, the look a two year old would use to get what she wanted, all the things that are all too easily forgotten as time passes. She would love to help you capture your little details so you can share those timeless gifts with your friends and family.

What a beautiful family! They were so sweet with their adorable, 2-month old baby boy. The weather was lovely, and I really enjoyed meeting them. On the day we met, their little guy was sticking out his tongue every time he smiled. They said he had just started doing that and have since informed me that he has already stopped, so I’m especially glad that I got to document brief moment in time for them. Here are just a few of their first professional family portraits as a family of three.
As a side note, I’m also putting out a casting call for families. I have some great ideas of things I want to do with families and with the unseasonably dry weather seems like now is as good of time as any to do them. If your family would like to be involved please contact me for more details.

Welcome back to my blog. It has been way too long since I updated it. For 2012, I have teamed up with a group of fabulous CMPros to share with you and with each other how we view things. Each month this year we will take pictures that speak to the month’s theme and then post them on our blog on the 2nd of the following month. The theme for January was “The Way I View New Beginnings.”
At first I was bummed that this theme was falling in January because my mind immediately went to flower blossoms and tree buds and all the new beginnings that come with spring. Then, a much bigger than usual snow storm hit the area and the plant theme seemed even further away. My mind turned to newborn babies, toddler new walkers, first day of schoolers, etc., but none of those seemed quite right. It wasn’t until I was driving my middle child to gymnastics one day that I knew what I wanted to photograph for this challenge. It was her, and while she’s not at a traditional milestone time right now, this is still just her new beginning. She is very much like the buds on the trees that will be in full force in a month or two. She has such a good heart and is an incredibly creative and divergent thinker, that I have no doubts that some day she will do something great! This day though we had just passed a homeless person holding a sign asking for money and food. She says to me “Mama, I wish we could make it so there were no homeless people” and then we went on to think about what she might be able to do about it. I hope her compassion continues to grow along with her ability to really make changes in her world. For now, I will just enjoy her new beginning.

This session was so much fun!! Morgan has the gorgeous red hair I always wanted while growing up, and not only is she beautiful outside, she’s got true inner beauty too. She and her mom wanted to shoot in downtown Kirkland, and I think I may have a new favorite location, just full of variety!! It was great getting to work with you both! Hope you enjoy the images.

This is the beautiful family of a fellow photographer, Lacey Meyers. She is beautiful both inside and out and her boys are adorable, full of life and just a joy to be around. It was great getting to meet you, Lacey!

In between all the rain showers . . . oh, who am a kidding, during one of the many rain showers we’ve been having, I had a fun session with a beautiful little five year old. I just love five year olds — so full of spunk, imagination, innocence and a huge zest for life. Plus, not too many people can pull off a fairy costume like the adorable Miss K. It was great seeing you guys!
I had the chance to photograph this gorgeous 1-year old on a rare, sunny day. All I can say is what a difference a year makes!!
The first time I got to photograph this precious little one she was all of 6-lbs and looked like this:
Now check her out! Big smiles, sly grins, personality to spare, and WALKING!! Happy birthday, sweet Miss C!!
I can’t believe that it’s been so long since I updated my blog. Thanks to everyone still reading. I had the chance to photograph this adorable little one on a cold, damp day, but we bundled her up and snapped a few outdoors. She had just started crawling the day before our session so we went inside to document that as well. What a fun job I have!! I’ve had the chance to photograph several cuties recently so keep checking back. More previews to come soon.
This pair was so much fun. They drove almost an hour for their session so Little K was asleep when they got there, but he perked up quickly and was just full of personality. Plus, I think we caught the only 3 minutes of sunshine the whole weekend. Fall color, blue skies, and a sweet, fun mother and son duo. Can’t beat that!

This gorgeous family came to get photos with their baby girl. It was cold and foggy outside, but seeing the joy when they looked at their baby girl sure brightened up my day. Hope it will for you too.
